Manali is home to many attractions but the chief centre of interest, historically and archaeologically, is undoubtedly the dungri temple dedicated to goddess Hadimba (the wife of Bheema of Mahabharata Fame). This wooden temple is located in the dense forest of deodar, about 2.5 km from the Mall. 2. Vashisht (3.5 km from the Mall): Vashisht village is a place renowned for its hot sulphur water springs and temples. The springs of Vashisht are believed to possess medicinal properties and known to heal skin diseases. Close to the temple is the pyramidal stone temple dedicated to Vashisht Muni as well as the Lord Rama Temple. 3. Tibetan Monastery (0.5 km): This Gadhan Thekchhoking Gompa dominates the Tibetan area around the bottom of the Mall in Manali. Tibetan refugees built the Gompa in the late 1969. The interesting part here is the Tibetan artistry handicrafts and the carpets that are woven and sold at the monastery. 4. Club House (2 km from the Mall): Located on the left bank of Manalsu Nallah, Club House is a famous spot for amusement activities like skating, dance etc. It is also surrounded by various picnic spots. Later in the evening, you can go to the shopping malls (at Mall Road & IBEX Market) of Manali. Then have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

DAY - 04 Manali - Rothang Pass

After a filling breakfast, head to Rohtang Pass (51 km, altitude 3,979 m). One of the highest points here, the pass is situated on the highway to Keylong/Leh and considered as the gateway to Lahaul and Spiti. On this day, you will cover some of the most attractive spots, panorama activities and spectacular sight of glaciers. On the way to Rohtang Pass, visit Nehru Kund, Rahala Waterfalls, Kothi Village, Palchang, Gulaba, Marhi and Rani Nala for amazing experiences. Nehru Kund (5 km): On the national highway to Leh, Nehru Kund is a natural spring of cold clear water, named after Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru. It is said that Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru used to drink water from this spring during his stay in Manali. This pristine spring is believed to originate from the Bhrigu Lake situated high-up in the mountains. Kothi: Situated about 12 km from Manali on the Keylong road is Kothi, a beautiful little village offering awe-inspiring views of snow-capped mountains. The Beas River flows through a very deep and narrow gorge and is also a splendid sight to see. Gulaba Camp: Located at about 20 km from Manali is this beautiful village, famed as a good spot for sightseeing, picnic and photography. Rahala Waterfalls (30 km): The falls can be visible on the way to Rohtang Pass, somewhere between Marhi to Kothi via the old road. Enjoy the fascinating sight of this falls, which also makes a good picnic spot. Marhi (35 km): On the way to Rohtang Pass, lies Marhi Village - a point from where you can behold picturesque views. Rani Nala: Situated about 46 km from Manali, Rani Nala is the glacier point where snow is seen throughout the year. Return to Manali later in the noon at around 4 or 5 PM.
